Aviation Safety Seminar run by CASA on Saturday 22nd November 2008 at 3pm at the Clubhouse, followed by a barbecue.

The event will be hosted by Teraya Miller, who is now a CASA safety advisor, and who is well known to some of us, as she taught us to fly.

There are a number of possible basic topics as listed on the CASA website under "safety seminars" and we can choose those of most interest to us. Teraya has suggested "operations at CTAF aerodromes" as a starter.

As some of these subjects are quite lengthy, Teraya is happy to shorten them to cover other areas of interest and then have an open forum. An engineer will also come to either brief us or answer technical questions about "pilot maintenance" issues.

We will need to estimate numbers as the club house can only accomodate about 25-30 members able to see a powerpoint presentation. If there are more people interested, we will have to look at finding a larger venue. Pilots from other clubs are of course welcome.
